What kind of baby name is “Cork”?

I found a list of new year baby names on about.com
I can understand Dawn (sunrise), Aurora (Dawn in Latin), Usha (Dawn in Hindi), Renee (french for re-born), Nova (latin for new) Novella (New in french), Neville (french for new life), Newman (old english for newcomer) Walid (Newborn in Arabic)
Not sure about Cork, or Champagne for that matter… What’s next -Fireworks?

I’m not a big fan of Cork or Fireworks. But look at some of the names that people are using these days and I think you’ll find that Cork isn’t so far off… Happy New Year!
